The NFL fans are bracing for excitement as the Miami Dolphins, along with the rest of the league, gear up to learn when they will face their 2024 adversaries.

Setting a date for football enthusiasts to mark their calendars, the much-anticipated release of the NFL’s 2024 regular season schedule is just around the corner. Ben Fischer of the Sports Business Journal has reported that the unveiling, inclusive of all intended dates and times for the previously revealed matchups—with a few to be announced (TBA)—is slated for a weekend soon after Wednesday, May 15.

Traditionally disclosed during the second week of May in the past years, the announcement faced a slight postponement this year. The adjustment reportedly stems from the NFL’s innovative decision to organize two games on Christmas Day, coinciding with a Wednesday in 2024.

A quick reminder for Dolphins fans: The team’s 2024 home game lineup includes clashes with their AFC East rivals, plus the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, Las Vegas Raiders, Arizona Cardinals, and San Francisco 49ers. On the road, the Dolphins will compete against the Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, and New England Patriots, along with the Cleveland Browns, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Los Angeles Rams, Seattle Seahawks, and Green Bay Packers.

In other Dolphins news, Blake Ferguson, the team’s long-snapper, has been making headlines for fulfilling his pledge related to a jersey swap. Ferguson has started the exchange for fans who previously bought his number 44 jersey, now replacing it with a signed number 48 jersey.

This move came after he announced he’d revert to his number 48 from his college days at LSU, allowing rookie first-round pick Chop Robinson to take over number 44. Ferguson’s gesture has garnered attention and praise alike, with the first batch of jerseys already being exchanged.

Furthermore, the Dolphins community sends out its heartfelt condolences to former assistant coach Joel Collier following the demise of his father Joe Collier. The elder Collier, renowned for crafting the Denver Broncos’ iconic “Orange Crush” defense in the late 1970s and a former head coach of the Buffalo Bills, has left behind a legacy celebrated by many in the NFL realm.

In a lighter note, the sibling connection in the NFL continues to fascinate as Taulia Tagovailoa, the younger brother of Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, secures a second rookie minicamp tryout with the Arizona Cardinals after his time with the Seattle Seahawks. Taulia’s college prowess at Maryland remains a point of interest for teams scouting for talent.

As the NFL 2024 season schedule’s official release draws near, fans and teams alike are filled with anticipation, ready to chart their course through the gridiron gauntlet that awaits.
