With the NFL Draft in the rear-view mirror and Tom Brady’s Netflix roast cooling off, the next big event on the calendar is the NFL schedule release.
Here’s what Ravens fans need to know:
When:
Sports Business Journal’s Ben Fischer reported Tuesday night that the schedule is expected on Wednesday, May 15, at 8 p.m. ET.
Opponents:
The Ravens’ 2024 opponents have been known since the regular season ended. It’s just the dates and times to be determined.
- Pittsburgh Steelers
- Cleveland Browns
- Cincinnati Bengals
- Buffalo Bills
- Las Vegas Raiders
- Denver Broncos
- Washington Commanders
- Philadelphia Eagles
- Pittsburgh Steelers
- Cleveland Browns
- Cincinnati Bengals
- Kansas City Chiefs
- Los Angeles Chargers
- Houston Texans
- Dallas Cowboys
- New York Giants
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Strength of Schedule:
The Ravens’ 2024 opponents had a combined record of 155-134 in 2023, a win percentage of .536. Only the Cleveland Browns will face a schedule with a higher win percentage (.547) last season.
The Ravens will play 10 games against teams that made the playoffs last season, one more than any other club. Those teams are Cleveland (2x), Pittsburgh (2x), Philadelphia, Buffalo, Kansas City, Dallas, Houston, and Tampa Bay.
Most Highly Anticipated Games:
Ravens at Chiefs
This is a rematch of last year’s AFC Championship game that left Baltimore heartbroken and another chapter in the Lamar Jackson vs. Patrick Mahomes era.
Ravens vs. & at Steelers
The Steelers have won seven of the last eight matchups, including both last season. The Ravens, who have been the better team in many of those games, are itching to reverse their recent history against their archrivals. Pittsburgh has retooled this offseason with new quarterback Russell Wilson.
Ravens at Chargers
The Harbaugh brothers will square off once again for the first time since Super Bowl XLVII and the connections don’t stop there. Former Ravens offensive coordinator Greg Roman is directing their offense. Joe Hortiz left to become the Chargers’ new general manager, and he brought former Ravens Gus Edwards, J.K. Dobbins, Hayden Hurst and Bradley Bozeman with him.
