On Monday, the Miami Dolphins announced multiple roster moves that corresponded with many new injuries the team suffered either in advance of, or during their preseason tilt against the Washington Commanders this past Saturday night.

Offensive lineman Sean Harlow and wide receiver Willie Snead IV were both placed on the reserve/injured list which ends the season for both players. Linebacker Ezekiel Vandenburgh was waived/injured, while running back Salvon Ahmed was released.

Both Snead and Harlow arrived in Miami within the last few weeks, but unfortunately, the injury bug bit them before they were able to do much with the Dolphins. Vandenburgh signed with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Illinois State ahead of the 2023 season before injuring his knee and being placed on injured reserve for the duration of the year.

The most notable name to depart Miami in this roster reshuffle is that of running back Salvon Ahmed. Ahmed was awarded off waivers to the Dolphins ahead of the 2020 season. During his time in Miami, he played in 38 games with four starts while rushing for 593 yards and five touchdowns on 163 carries. He also totaled 40 receptions for 274 yards and one touchdown.

To replace the departing players, the Dolphins signed running backs Zander Horvath (formerly of the Los Angeles Chargers) and Anthony McFarland Jr. (formerly of the Pittsburgh Steelers), linebacker Dequan Jackson (formerly of the Jacksonville Jaguars) and wide receiver Jadon Janke (an undrafted rookie out of South Dakota State).
