The Miami Dolphins suffered a major setback this week, falling to 1-3 on the season after a disappointing home loss to the Tennessee Titans. The Dolphins, already struggling after quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s Week 2 concussion, looked lost on offense with backup quarterback Tyler Huntley at the helm.

Huntley, who had shown promise as Lamar Jackson’s backup in Baltimore, struggled to find his footing in Miami’s offense. Despite having offensive weapons like Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle at his disposal, Huntley failed to generate any consistent offensive momentum. The usually explosive Miami running game was also stifled by a stout Tennessee defense.

Star wide receiver Tyreek Hill’s frustration was evident throughout the game. Cameras caught Hill voicing his displeasure with the coaching staff on the sideline as the Dolphins fell further behind. The normally explosive Hill was limited to just four catches for 23 yards on the day.

The loss stings even more considering the Titans entered the game winless. Backup quarterback Mason Rudolph outplayed Huntley, adding to the frustration for Miami. While head coach Mike McDaniel’s offense is known for its complexity, Huntley’s inability to execute with a talented supporting cast is concerning.

With their playoff hopes fading, the Dolphins face a difficult path forward. Unless Huntley can dramatically improve his performance in Tagovailoa’s absence, Miami could be looking at a high draft pick next year.
