The Miami Dolphins had one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history in Dan Marino, who burst onto the scene as a rookie,  leading the team to the Super Bowl. While Marino would never win a Super Bowl as the starting quarterback in South Beach, he did help push two other men into superstardom in Mark Clayton and Mark Duper.

For Duper and Clayton, affectionately called “The Marks Brothers,” terrorized opposing defensive backfields. They helped the Dolphins become one of the better teams in the AFC once they got together. In their first three seasons with the Dolphins, the two wideouts helped the team to a 38-10 record, while making it to two AFC title games.

Clayton would go on to be named to five Pro Bowls and was three times named an All-Pro. Duper would be named to the Pro Bowl three times, while also being named an All-Pro on multiple occasions. In addition, Duper is the franchise’s all-time leader in receiving yards.

These two wide receivers played together over a 10-year span, and in that time, the Dolphins made it to the playoffs five times. “The Marks Brothers” may have never brought a championship to Miami, but they did bring with them an exciting brand of football that the Dolphins have not been able to repeat ever since.
