On Tuesday night, the Los Angeles Lakers took on the Dallas Mavericks in their first meetup since “the trade.” In his first game against his former team, Luka Doncic recorded a 19-point, 15-rebound, and 12-assist triple-double. Additionally, he recorded three steals and two blocks in the victory.
This was a must-see game for multiple reasons, but no storyline was as interesting to follow as Doncic’s revenge game. Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki attended the game, as did minority owner Mark Cuban.
Cuban was always a fan of Doncic’s and reportedly tried to stop the trade that sent him to the Lakers. While he was surely supporting his team, it also is not too far-fetched to say he was interested to see how Doncic would perform as well.

Additionally, it seems that Cuban and Doncic had some interactions at the game that Mavericks fans may be interested in knowing more about.
In a recent episode of Run It Back, former Mavericks player Chandler Parsons revealed that he was at the game with Cuban. Parsons said that “there was some playful trash-talking” between Cuban and Doncic, with the Slovenian sending a three-word message to the 66-year-old: “Mark, shut up!”
Parsons went on to say that everybody around laughed about the situation, so it seems like this was all done in good fun. Ultimately, Doncic got the last laugh as he led the Lakers to victory.
Doncic will make his highly-anticipated return to Dallas on April 9. This will be the first time in his NBA career where he goes up against the Mavericks. Especially with it also being one of the final games of the Lakers’ season, this is a game every fan will want to tune in to.
