Chiefs’ Head Coach Andy Reid Defends Swift Amid Criticism
Since going public with Kelce, Swift has faced criticism from some NFL fans and analysts, with claims that her presence is a distraction to the team. Despite these concerns, the Chiefs still won Super Bowl LVIII while the relationship was in full swing.
Earlier this week, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid publicly defended Swift, applauding the way she handled boos from fans during an appearance in New Orleans on February 9, 2025.

“She’s a good person,” Reid told Pro Football Talk Live. “She handles everything the right way, and that’s not always easy. But she does a fantastic job.”
Reid also dismissed the idea that Swift is a distraction, instead recognizing her as part of the extended Chiefs family, much like the wives and girlfriends of other players.
“Kelce handles it well, and she does too. She’s part of the team in the way that all the families are. That’s just part of the process,” he added.
