The Miami Dolphins might be looking to add even more firepower to one of the NFL’s most dangerous offenses. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Miami has reached out to the Denver Broncos regarding a potential trade for wide receiver Jerry Jeudy.
Jeudy, 25, is entering the final year of his rookie contract and has been the subject of trade rumors for over a year. While the Broncos have publicly stated they value his talent, the team’s rebuild under Sean Payton could push them to accumulate draft picks, making Jeudy expendable.
For the Dolphins, pairing Jeudy with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle would give quarterback Tua Tagovailoa a devastating trio of route-running specialists and speed threats. Head coach Mike McDaniel has built an offense that thrives on mismatches, motion, and timing — and Jeudy’s precise footwork and quick acceleration fit perfectly into that system.

The Dolphins’ interest is also fueled by depth concerns. Injuries to Waddle in recent seasons have exposed the lack of proven options behind Hill and Waddle. Jeudy would not only provide insurance but also allow Miami to rotate its receivers more effectively, keeping the offense fresh late in the season.
Financially, the move would require careful planning. Jeudy is due $12.9 million in 2025 under his fifth-year option, and Miami is already tight on cap space. However, the team could rework existing contracts or sign Jeudy to a long-term extension to spread out the hit.
