This week’s episode of “New Heights” broke records because Jason and Travis Kelce were joined by special guest Taylor Swift.
Swift unveiled her new album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” while on her boyfriend’s show. In just the first 16 hours, her appearance on the Kelce brothers’ podcast had 10 million views. Fans wanted to learn more about her new music. Of course, her supporters also wanted to see her interact with Travis in a setting other than an NFL game or concert.
During her time on “New Heights,” Swift shared a funny story about her first date with Kelce.
“On our first date, I legitimately asked what it was like when the Chiefs played the Eagles in the Super Bowl and he looked across the field and saw his brother standing five feet ahead of him on the field. I now know what an insane question that was,” Swift said, via On3. “He was like, ‘Actually, I’m on the offense and my brother’s on the offense. I’m only on the field at the same time as the defense.’ I thought everyone was on the field at the same time. I thought that the quarterbacks, like Jared Goff was here and Josh Allen was here. And they’re gonna be like, you blow a whistle and then go at each other and they’re like ahh! Like who’s gonna win.”
Later in the show, Swift referred to Kelce as a “human exclamation point.” It didn’t take long for people, including those on the “New Heights” social media team, to declare it as Kelce’s new nickname.
Most of Swift’s fans are on board with this nickname. They claim it perfectly suits Kelce.
“Best nickname ever,” a Swiftie wrote on X.
“That was such a sweet sweet compliment. Human exclamation point, color enhancer. Just positive energy, vibe booster to anyone he’s around,” a second fan said.
“This was so sweet of Taylor to say,” a Chiefs fan added.
“They call him Human Exclamation Point Kelce,” another fan commented.
Kelce hasn’t shared his thoughts on this kind nickname from Swift.
We’re not sure if Kelce’s teammates are ready to call him the “human exclamation point,” but maybe it’ll grow on them.
The Chiefs will begin their 2025 season on Sept. 5 against the Los Angeles Chargers. That matchup will take place in Brazil.
