CONTROVERSIAL DONATIONS: Elon Musk Donates Millions to Pro-Trump Super PAC Despite Bitter Exit from White House. Find Out What’s Behind His Continued Support!
Elon Musk Continues Multi-Million Dollar Donations to Trump-Aligned Super PACs Despite Public Fallout
In a surprising twist to an already dramatic political year, billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has continued to pour millions of dollars into super PACs supporting former President Donald Trump—even after a very public and contentious split from the Trump administration earlier this year.
According to Federal Election Commission filings reviewed by Newsweek, Musk donated $5 million each to MAGA Inc. and the two leading Republican congressional super PACs—the Senate Leadership Fund and the Congressional Leadership Fund—on June 27. Musk also contributed approximately $27 million to the AMERICA PAC, a group he founded in 2024 to bolster Trump’s presidential campaign.
Musk had previously spent over $250 million to help reelect Trump in 2024 before joining the administration as head of the newly created Department of Government Efficiency, a role he held until his abrupt departure in May.
After leaving the White House, Musk didn’t hold back, publicly criticizing Trump on several occasions. He lambasted Trump’s signature legislative proposal, the “One Big Beautiful Bill,” and accused the former president of concealing ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
But in a remarkable display of political reconciliation, Trump and Musk appeared to bury the hatchet in June. Musk admitted he had “gone too far” in some of his remarks, while Trump insisted there were “no hard feelings” between the two.
Just a week after making his generous donations, Musk announced the launch of the America Party—a move that quickly drew Trump’s ire on social media.
“I am saddened to watch Elon Musk go completely ‘off the rails,’ essentially becoming a TRAIN WRECK over the past five weeks,” Trump wrote. “He even wants to start a Third Political Party, despite the fact that they have never succeeded in the United States—The System seems not designed for them. The one thing Third Parties are good for is the creation of Complete and Total DISRUPTION & CHAOS.”
As the 2024 race intensifies, the Musk-Trump saga continues to captivate the nation, raising questions about loyalty, ambition, and the unpredictable nature of American politics.
