Over the last couple of weeks, the rumors surrounding Miami Dolphins’ superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill have grown very loud. While he hasn’t requested a trade and the team hasn’t made him available, the expectation is that Hill could hit the trade block sooner rather than later.Hill has been vocal about his displeasure with the Dolphins on multiple occasions. He has also hinted at wanting to leave Miami in the past.
Should the team continue struggling after their season-opening 33-8 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, changes could be made. Hill would likely be one of those changes.
With that being said, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter has revealed a major update regarding Hill’s future.
In a post on X on Saturday, Schefter revealed where things currently stand regarding Hill. To this point, no trade discussions have happened and no trade is being pursued.“To date, the Dolphins haven’t received any calls from other teams interested in WR Tyreek Hill and they currently have no plans to trade him, per sources,” Schefter wrote.

Even though last season was not his best year, Hill is still among the most dynamic wide receivers in the NFL. Any team would be lucky to acquire him and plug him into their offense from a skill-set perspective. However, there might be some teams who would rather avoid his personality.
Speaking of last season, Hill racked up 81 receptions for 959 yards and six touchdowns in 17 games. Back in the 2023 campaign, he caught 119 passes for 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns, while catching 119 passes for 1,710 yards and seven touchdowns in 2022.
Those numbers would have to tempt quite a few teams to come calling with aggressive offers.
Expect to continue hearing rumblings about Hill’s future with the Dolphins. Schefter’s report makes it clear that no talks have happened yet, but as the season progresses it would not be shocking to see them start.
