Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins are off to a rough 0-3 start to the 2025 NFL season. After making Tua one of the highest paid quarterbacks in the NFL, Miami had high expectations for this offense. After going 8-9 last year, and starting this season off winless, there could be some big changes coming soon.Tua isn’t helping his position with the fans.
In response to Tua Tagovailoa’s public comments about his team, fans have completely turned against him

Even though the Miami Dolphins were heavy underdogs against the Buffalo Bills last night, they played very tough for about 3.5 quarters. Tua Tagovailoa made a huge mistake:
After the Bills scored a go-ahead touchdown with seven minutes to play, Tua started leading the Dolphins down the field on an extended drive. But on the ninth play he threw a back-breaking interception while trying to find WR Jaylen Waddle.
Buffalo were able to run out the clock and score a field goal to put the game out of reach in a 31-21 win.
But after the game, Tagovailoa appeared to give more credit to the defender for making the play than taking responsibility for throwing the ball.
“I thought I was in rhythm, in timing of the play, seen the flat defender go over the top of Jaylen, Jaylen’s turning around,” Tagovailoa said. “That was a really good play by the defender. I had some color in my face trying to maneuver the throw. But 10 out of 10 times, if we’re looking at that same thing, I think I’d still try to work that timing of hitting that spot. I think the linebacker made a great play on that.”

Dolphins fans didn’t appreciate Tua seemingly refusing to acknowledge his own mistakes. Fans online have accused him of showing no accountability and continuing to make the same mistakes repeatedly.
“Why can’t he just take accountability and accept he made a bad play?” one user on X demanded.
“No accountability once again. Get rid of this dude please,” wrote another.
“Absolutely inexcusable. 75% of his picks this year have been identical,” a third wrote.
“Tua is an average, overpaid player who believes he’s elite. Any NFL QB earning 10% of his salary would perform as well or better. Please get rid of him!”
“Tua, the flat defender broke on the flat and the curl defender made the play on the ball you threw to the curl route! Hopefully this helps with your progression and 9 times out of 10 you don’t make this decision moving forward!”
“Man I’m really hating Tua lately. He’s the damn QB! The team leader and takes no accountability on his mistake. The greats automatically first thing that comes out is that kind of shit falls on them. Tua has a lot to learn still and I’m really hating his mellow attitude, there’s no urgency coming out of him. This team just doesn’t have it, they had their time a few years ago and failed. This current team just needs a fresh start.”
Tua added that there were some positives to take away but acknowledged that there were no moral victories.
“No moral victories, that’s for sure,” Tagovailoa said. “There’s definitely some things we can take away that’s good, that’s up to par, that’s our standard of how we operate in our offense.”
Moral victories or not, it seems like everyone in Miami is at risk of losing their jobs right about now.
