(Breaking) Lamar Jackson Thanks The Ravens For “Finally Getting The Deal Done” In MVP Victory Speech..

The 27-year-old quarterback”s triumph marked a historic achievement, solidifying his status as the youngest two-time NFL MVP since the league”s merger.

Despite the Ravens falling short of their season expectations, Jackson”s standout contributions did not go unnoticed.

The quarterback made history by outpacing Kansas City Chiefs Patrick Mahomes, winning the MVP title by just over nine months.

In a landslide victory, Jackson received 49 out of the 50 first-place votes, falling just one vote shy of another unanimous selection, reminiscent of his 2019 win alongside Tom Brady.

The voting results, tabulated on a 10-5-3-2-1 basis, reflected Jackson”s dominance, amassing 493 points. The only other first-place vote for MVP this season went to Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.

In response to the accolade, Jason said, “I want to thank the Ravens for finally getting the deal done.” He also acknowledged the efforts of his team and emphasized the collaborative nature of football. “It”s a team thing for these awards,” he said.

Jackson also took the opportunity to thank the Ravens organization for finalizing his five-year, $260 million contract nine months ago.

While Jackson is the ninth player to win multiple NFL MVP awards in the Super Bowl era, he stands as the only one among them yet to secure a Super Bowl victory.

The list of multiple MVP winners since 1967 includes illustrious names such as Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Brett Favre, Mahomes, Joe Montana, and Steve Young.

In contrast to his 2019 MVP season, where Jackson led the league in touchdown passes and set a single-season rushing record for quarterbacks, his 2023 MVP title came as a result of his leadership and excellence on the league”s most dominant regular-season team.

Jackson”s career-high 3,678 yards passing, a 67.2 completion rate, and his role as the driving force behind the Ravens” 13-4 record contributed to his MVP-worthy performance.

What set Jackson apart in the MVP race was his ability to shine against formidable opponents. Recording 10 victories against teams with winning records in a single season since at least 2000, Jackson demonstrated his mettle against the best in the league.
