The Miami Dolphins remain interested in signing the former New York Giants first-round pick

If this already wasn’t obvious, it should be repeated that NFL fans should be careful about believing everything they see on social media.

Tyreek Hill Injured as Trade Rumors Heat Up — Dolphins Shut Down the Noise

August 11, 2025

And the latest example came this weekend with Odell Beckham Jr., who supposedly had officially signed with the Miami Dolphins on Saturday based on a social media post that seemingly came from Tyreek Hill.

Only that was news to Beckham.

The screen shot of Hill’s post saying simply, “OBJ to Miami confirmed” might or might not have been fake, and on top of that Hill himself hasn’t been shy about saying he enjoying stirring things up on social media.

After Beckham’s response, a fan answered back with a screen shot of a dubious X account showing Beckham in a Dolphins jersey.

This was Beckham’s response:

The bottom line is that the Dolphins still might end up Beckham, who they brought in for a free agent visit two weeks ago, but no agreement has been finalized and nothing might be finalized for a while.

And it’s also not a lock that Beckham will sign with Miami because he’s got other suitors, including the Kansas City Chiefs and possibly now the Buffalo Bills in light of their trade of Stefon Diggs this week.

WHY BECKHAM WOULD MAKE SENSE OR NOT MAKE SENSE FOR THE DOLPHINS

Beckham, who had a solid 2023 season with the Baltimore Ravens after signing a one-year deal, would make for an appealing third wide receiver option behind Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

As it currently stands, Braxton Berrios, River Cracraft, who were both re-signed this offseason, Erik Ezukanma, a 2022 fourth-round pick who was sidelined by a neck injury last year, and Braylon Sanders and Anthony Schwartz, two youngsters who spent time on Miami’s practice squad last season, will be competing for additional roles at wide receiver.

The Dolphins also reportedly expressed interest in Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd, and the possibility also exists they may have a 2024 draft pick at the position, both for the upcoming season and the long term.
