The Ravens made their own team statement, in which they revealed that Andrews did not sustain any major injuries from the accident, which he got into on his way to the practice facility. The elite tight end participated in all the team meetings today, but he did not practice. That may not have to do with the accident, as it was a scheduled rest day for him.

The Baltimore staff thinks Andrews will be returning to full practice “in the coming days.”

“I appreciate everyone’s thoughts and well wishes,” Andrew said in a team statement. “This is a great reminder about the importance of wearing seatbelts and remaining alert while driving a car.”

While it does seem that he has come out unscathed from the accident, Andrews is coming off an injured season.

Andrews has been one of the best tight ends in the league for years now. He just trails Travis Kelce and George Kittle in receiving yards (4,305) since the start of 2019. He was a first team All Pro in 2021 when he totaled: career-high 107 catches, 1,361 yards, and nine touchdowns.

Andrews however, missed the last five games in 2023 due to injuries. While he returned in their AFC Championship game, he barely played and only had two targets.

He suffered a fibula fracture, and thank god, he does not appear to have reinjured that in the accident. The 28 year old star has thankfully avoided any major injuries, and while this may be a minor setback he should return to the practice field before the season starts. The team will desperately need him if they want to finally get over the hump and bring a Super Bowl back to Baltimore.

NFL Fans Are Thankful That Mark Andrews Is Fine

NFL and Baltimore fans were quick to social media to share their thoughts and support for Andrews as well as their gratitude for him walking away from the accident fine:

“Mark is a hallmark on the team and in the community, glad he’s okay. Fortunate for sure to escape injury, Ravens have had several near misses in camp with possible football injuries this summer,” one fan tweeted.

“Hope everyone involved is good. Thank God my guy is good tho!” another fan tweeted.

“Oh my god. Glad Mark’s okay,” another fan tweeted.

“Thank god he’s alright,” another tweet read.

Andrews is one of the best tight ends in football and one of the best teammates and leaders. We are all hoping to see Andrews back to his All Pro self this year.

It will be an amazing sign to see Andrews return to the practice field when he does.
