Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins grabbed headlines right after the season wrapped up, but as free agency approaches, he won’t be the league’s focal point. Instead, the buzz in the NFL is centered around Seattle Seahawks standout DK Metcalf, who requested a trade on Wednesday.
The Seahawks have reportedly agreed to explore potential destinations for the 28-year-old athlete. Hill quickly took to social media to share his thoughts on the news, which sent ripples across the league on Wednesday.
There was much speculation after Hill showed some discontent at the season’s end, which was the first without a playoff berth under head coach Mike McDaniel. However, general manager Chris Grier dismissed any rumors during his season-ending press conference that Hill had sought a trade.
Recently, Hill gave Dolphins supporters something to anticipate for the 2025 season. Despite dealing with a persistent wrist injury and various changes at the quarterback position, Hill recorded 81 catches for 959 yards and six touchdowns.
It was the first time since his rookie season that he didn’t surpass 1,000 receiving yards while playing at least 15 games. As for Metcalf’s future destination, it’s yet to be determined, but Hill is preparing for a comeback season in Miami.
