The rookie’s first game with South Bay triggered an unprecedented surge in the secondary market, with tickets soaring to $200 – not just demolishing the league’s typical $17 average, but setting the G League record for most expensive single-game ticket.
Oddly enough, buying a ticket to Bronny’s G League debut was actually more expensive than seeing his father play for the main Lakers squad. The typical Lakers game at Crypto.com Arena starts at around $101 on SeatGeek, only half the cost of Bronny’s G League appearance.

Not surprisingly, the 12-fold price increase sparked controversy among fans, as ticket holders capitalized on Bronny’s surprise assignment by flipping their seats for massive profits. Simply put, Bronny’s star power created unprecedented demand, proving that even G League games can command premium prices when a James is on the court.
Unfortunately for South Bay fans, Bronny’s debut was nothing to write home about. The rookie guard spent 31 minutes on the court, but went 2-9 from the floor, including 0-4 from behind the arc. He also grabbed three defensive rebounds, dished four assists, blocked a shot, and got two steals. He finished the game with just six points and an embarrassing five turnovers.
