Cameraman who shot Tyreek Hill backflip sees career take off

After capturing one of the bigger viral moments of the 2023 NFL season, what should have been a career-making moment for digital content creator Kevin Fitzgibbons nearly ended a passion he had been pursuing for years.

During a Week 6 matchup with the Carolina Panthers, Miami Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill grabbed Fitzgibbons’ phone and used it to record himself doing a backflip after scoring a touchdown.

He posted the photo to social media before quickly taking it down and not long after, the NFL revoked Fitzgibbons’ media credentials for the remainder of the season as punishment for allowing Hill to use his phone as a prop in the touchdown celebration.

Hill ended up paying Fitzgibbons’ salary for the rest of the season and he kept busy doing some freelance work for the All-Pro receiver. But since he wasn’t allowed on an NFL sideline anymore, Fitzgibbons found a workaround to continue his budding digital content career in sports.

The 20-year-old University of Miami student announced on X this week that he and fellow content creator Will Foster launched their own media and marketing company, F2 Media.

“He’s really working with a lot of top brands,” Hill said in Fitzgibbons’ announcement video, which is featured below. “My boy Kev is big time now. My boy Kev is famous.”

Fitzgibbons stated he created F2 Media to work with professional athletes to help grow and improve their social media presence as well as secure branding deals.

Some of the high-profile new clients Fitzgibbons has worked with recently include the UFC, the Miami Heat, Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence, Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley, San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and Dallas Mavericks point guard Luka Doncic.
