The Miami Dolphins suffered a crushing 31-12 defeat at the hands of the Tennessee Titans on Monday night, a game that showcased the team’s struggles without starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. The loss leaves the Dolphins at a disappointing 1-3 for the season.

Backup quarterback Tyler Huntley, in his first start for Miami, struggled to get the offense going. Huntley’s performance highlighted the team’s over-reliance on Tagovailoa’s unique skillset.

The Dolphins’ defense, while mostly solid this season, faltered late in the game, allowing crucial runs that sealed their fate. The absence of key defensive linemen Christian Wilkins and Raekwon Davis continues to be a factor in the team’s run defense woes.

Adding to their troubles, Miami’s fourth-down struggles continued, failing to convert on multiple crucial attempts. The Dolphins’ inability to gain short yardage has become a recurring theme this season.

Despite the overall disappointing performance, veterans Emmanuel Ogbah and Calais Campbell continued to shine on defense. Ogbah, who had been cut by the team before the season, made several impact plays, including an interception. Campbell, at 38 years old, continues to be a force in the trenches.

The Dolphins are now staring down a tough two-game road trip, facing the New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts. With Tagovailoa’s return date still uncertain, the team faces an uphill battle to get their season back on track.
