The Miami Dolphins might be calling upon rookie tackle Patrick Paul sooner than expected.

Starting left tackle Terron Armstead’s status for Monday night’s game against the Tennessee Titans is uncertain due to a concussion sustained in Week 3 24-3 loss against the Seattle Seahawks.

This could pave the way for Paul, a second-round draft pick, to make his first NFL start.

While Paul has primarily contributed on special teams this season, the Dolphins are high on his potential.

The team has been searching for a reliable presence at left tackle, and Paul’s size and skillset have impressed coaches.

Head coach Mike McDaniel has praised Paul’s progress and believes he is ready for the opportunity, though acknowledging the challenges a Monday night matchup against the Titans’ defense presents.

Paul himself seems ready for the challenge, stating his eagerness to “ball out” if given the chance.

The potential emergence of Paul is significant for the Dolphins, both in the short and long term.

With Armstead’s future uncertain, a strong performance from Paul could provide a glimpse into the future of the Dolphins’ offensive line.
