Tyreek Hill continued to showcase his game-changing abilities, torching the Jaguars’ defense for 130 receiving yards and a touchdown. Hill’s 80-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter proved to be a pivotal moment in Miami’s comeback.

Despite Hill’s heroics, the Dolphins’ defense initially struggled to contain the Jaguars’ offense. Jacksonville’s quarterback, Trevor Lawrence, effectively targeted veteran defenders Jalen Ramsey and Jordan Poyer, particularly exploiting coverage on rookie wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. The Jaguars raced to a surprising 14-0 lead and enjoyed a 17-7 advantage at halftime.

Miami’s usually potent offense sputtered early on. The run game struggled to gain traction, and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa faced consistent pressure, enduring three sacks in the first half. The offensive line’s struggles contributed to a disjointed offensive rhythm.

However, the Dolphins’ defense stiffened in the second half, limiting Jacksonville to just 105 total yards and pitching a shutout over the final two quarters. A revitalized pass rush sacked Lawrence on consecutive plays to seal the victory.

Kicker Jason Sanders experienced a rollercoaster of a game. After missing a 42-yard field goal, he rebounded to tie the game with a 37-yarder before delivering the game-winning 52-yard field goal as time expired.

Tagovailoa shook off a slow start to finish with 338 passing yards and a touchdown. After a quiet first half, Tagovailoa connected on explosive plays to Jaylen Waddle and Hill, demonstrating his ability to ignite the Dolphins’ high-powered offense.
