With the Lakers holding a narrow 95-100 lead, Reaves made a perfect pass to James, who took full advantage and scored the basket to give the Lakers their final 102 points. It was a crucial play, and one that proved the trust and chemistry between the two players.

After the game, Reaves reflected on the assist. He addressed the online criticism that had followed his previous alley-oop attempt to James.

Austin Reaves on his alley-oop to LeBron:

"I seen some people trolling online last game the first lob I tried to throw him. They said he's 40 and I forgot that so y'all enjoy that one."

“Well, I’ve seen some people trolling online laughter Last game the first lob. I tried to throw him. They said he’s 40, and I forgot that, so ‘Y’all enjoy that one,’” Reaves said.

“He’s 40. He can go get it still, so I’m gonna continue to throw it up. I don’t even know if it was that good of a pass. He went, got it, dunked it,” he added.

After a thrilling 102-101 win over the Brooklyn Nets, LeBron James had nothing but praise for his teammate Austin Reaves as he delivered an exceptional performance in the game. James expressed how proud he was of Reaves’ growth and opportunity.

“He’s taking the opportunity and he’s running with it. Literally running with it, and I love every moment that he’s given the opportunity to go out and showcase his talent with the best players in the world,” James said.

Reaves had a remarkable night, finishing with a career-best 38 points, three assists, three rebounds, and two steals. LeBron James also made his mark, contributing 29 points, eight assists, seven rebounds, and two blocks.
