Tua Tagovailoa’s return to the Miami Dolphins’ practice sessions has been a significant boost, not just for general manager Chris Grier and head coach Mike McDaniel, but also for the team’s receivers, who are once again catching passes from their starting quarterback rather than backups Mike White and Skylar Thompson.

Star receiver Jaylen Waddle, especially, has shown excitement about Tagovailoa’s comeback. On the fourth day of training camp, Tagovailoa fully participated, including in some engaging one-on-one drills where he connected often with Waddle.

A highlight of the day was a particular play where Waddle faced off against standout cornerback Jalen Ramsey. Waddle impressively sped past Ramsey, securing an excellent pass from Tagovailoa:

This dazzling performance underscores the chemistry between the Dolphins’ quarterback and his receivers. Adding further to the thrill, both Tagovailoa and Waddle entered the offseason in search of new contracts, and both have since secured lucrative deals. Tagovailoa’s new contract includes a whopping $167.1 million in guaranteed money, also providing the Dolphins with approximately $13.6 million in cap space.

With contract negotiations behind him, Tagovailoa’s focus is fully on football, driving the Dolphins’ offense by consistently delivering precision throws, with Waddle being a frequent beneficiary. The dynamic duo is expected to continue making waves in practice and to carry that momentum into the regular season.
