The Los Angeles Lakers couldn’t be any happier after the team bounced back in Game 2 of their NBA playoff series against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
After the Timberwolves destroyed the Lakers 117-95 in Game 1, it looked like there was no way the Purple and Gold franchise would be able to match Minnesota’s physicality and offense.
In Game 2, however, the Lakers proved their doubters wrong by dominating from start to finish en route to a 94-85 victory. Luka Doncic led all scorers with 31 points, along with 12 rebounds and nine assists.
LeBron James added 21 points, 11 boards and seven dimes, as the Lakers led by as many as 22 points before settling for the nine-point win.
Unlike Game 1 when they shot over 50 percent from the field, the Timberwolves struggled to get anything going on the offensive end. The Lakers limited the visitors to just 38.0 percent shooting, including a 25.0 percent clip from beyond the 3-point line.

The win tied the series at 1-1 before it shifts to Minnesota for Games 3 and 4. Following the victory, the Lakers made sure to celebrate it with a strong message on social media.
“Nothing like that playoff win feeling,” the Lakers wrote, along with an edited photo showcasing the scores and their win.
Of course, the series is far from over. Not to mention that the Timberwolves have proven to be tough matchups for the Lakers.
However, taking Game 2 is certainly a huge morale booster for a Lakers team that was heavily criticized following their Game 1 blowout.
It remains to be seen if the Lakers can maintain their momentum heading to Game 3, but sure enough, the series with the Timberwolves is brewing to be an intense affair.
