NBA legend LeBron James has teamed up with Liverpool to launch a new football and basketball clothing range.
James, who’s a part-owner of the Reds, has collaborated with the Premier League club for the second time. The ‘Chapter 2’ collection features items from both sports in a black, blue and gold colour palette.
He sent Virgil van Dijk a video message to celebrate the release, telling him: “VVD my guy, I hope you are well. I just want to say huge congratulations on taking the armband this season.
“I know you will lead this club on amazing things. Strive for greatness, you’ll never walk alone.”
“The King has spoken,” replied Van Dijk, who added: “It’s great to have worked together alongside LeBron to launch this collaboration. I’m excited for everyone to see what we’ve created.”
James was seen sporting the new £79.95 footy strip as he watched his Los Angeles Lakers team-mates take on the Milwaukee Bucks at the Crypto.com Arena on Friday (March 8).

He’s currently sidelined with an ankle injury that has been causing him issues throughout the season and which he reaggravated in the fourth quarter of their 130-120 loss to the Sacramento Kings last Wednesday.
In his absence, the Lakers narrowly beat the Bucks 123-122, following up that victory with a 120-109 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday.
James’ first drop with Liverpool, the capsule collection, came out last year and similarly featured a mix of football and basketball gear.

There is also one pair of trainers in the collection – LFC x LeBron Nike NXXT Gen Amplified trainers which have an Akron-inspired sole, an ode to LeBron’s roots and AirZoom cushioning.
