The Miami Dolphins are, somehow, actually a healthier football team than another one.  Words not often written over the last few years.

But that’s the case right now between Miami and the Indianapolis Colts, who are set to square off on Sunday afternoon in Indianapolis.

The initial injury report was released on Wednesday afternoon, and the Dolphins had far more players able to get on the practice field in some capacity than their opponent.

The Dolphins managed to avoid any players missing practice for any injury-related reasons, per the report.  Veterans Terron Armstead and Calais Campbell were given rest days.

It was an encouraging sign for Jevon Holland, who turned in a limited appearance.  The Dolphins’ star safety suffered a hand injury during Miami’s 15-10 win over New England that raised concerns about the need for surgery. Fellow starters Emmanuel Obgah, David Long, Jr., and Jordan Poyer also managed to turn in limited practices.  De’Von Achane managed to turn in full practice as he works his way through concussion protocol.

It wasn’t such a rosy outlook for the Indianapolis Colts. Only quarterback Anthony Richardson, who’s missed several weeks with an oblique injury, managed to practice out of 10 players listed on the report.  Several noteworthy players, including wide receivers Josh Downs and Michael Pittman, center Ryan Kelly, and running backs Jonathan Taylor and Trey Sermon all missed practice.  A second missed practice on Thursday would be a bad sign for their availability on Sunday.

The Dolphins and Colts meet on Sunday at 1:00 pm at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
