The Miami Dolphins’ offense needs to find a way to get Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle more involved against the Seattle Seahawks. In their previous game, a 31-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills, Hill and Waddle were held in check.

Hill finished with three catches for 24 yards on six targets, and Waddle had four catches for 41 yards on four targets. With Skylar Thompson starting in place of the injured Tua Tagovailoa, it will be crucial for the Dolphins to find ways to get the ball to their playmakers.

The Bills were able to limit Hill and Waddle by using a combination of Cover 2 and a “Robber Safety” that took away many easy throws. However, the Seahawks’ defense presents a different challenge.

Seattle runs an overwhelming amount of Cover 3 and Cover 1, which should, in theory, give Hill and Waddle an advantage. Cover 1 is a man coverage concept, and Hill and Waddle are two of the most difficult receivers in the league to cover one-on-one.

However, the Seahawks have a pair of talented cornerbacks in Riq Woolen and Devon Witherspoon. Woolen and Witherspoon are both big, physical cornerbacks who could make things difficult for Hill and Waddle.

The Dolphins may need to utilize pre-snap motion and rely on their depth receivers and tight ends to draw some of the Seahawks’ attention away from their star duo. If the Dolphins want to secure a win, they will need to find a way to get Hill and Waddle going.
