The Miami Dolphins are a week away from their first preseason game, but getting there in one piece has been a challenge for the team. Through the first couple weeks of training camp, injuries have stacked up.

On Saturday, a new wave of bumps and bruises knocked the Dolphins for a loop.

Chiefs Star Breaks Silence After Affair Rumors With Kay Adams

The good news for Miami is that an injury scare for pass rusher Jaelan Phillips, who limped off the practice field Saturday, looks to be just that: a scare. The 26-year-old outside linebacker who finished each of the last two seasons on injured reserve posted on social media that it was “just a bruise.”

The bad news is that several other injuries don’t appear to be as minor.

Starting right tackle Austin Jackson reportedly is set to miss “weeks” due to a lower extremity injury of some sort. Wide receiver Dee Eskridge, who was standing out in training camp, was carted off the practice field Saturday after suffering what appeared to be a hamstring injury.

Earlier in training camp, the Dolphins suffered a wave of injuries in their already questionable secondary. Cornerbacks Kader Kohou and Artie Burns both suffered season-ending knee injuries, and safety Ashtyn Davis suffered a lower leg injury that has him currently watching practices from a scooter.

Last year, RotoWire calculated that Dolphins players collectively missed 227 games due to injuries in the 2024 season, third most in the NFL behind only the Detroit Lions and Cleveland Browns.
