Patrick and Brittany Mahomes Take Kids to the Zoo and Stare Down a Lion On Chiefs Day Off..

Patrick Mahomes is spending quality time with his family amid the Kansas City Chiefs’ bye week.

The NFL quarterback, 29, spent Thursday, Oct. 10, at the Fort Worth Zoo in Texas with his pregnant wife Brittany Mahomes, their 3-year-old daughter Sterling, and their son Bronze, who turns 2 in November.

Brittany, 29, chronicled their adventure-filled day in a series of posts on her Instagram Stories, beginning with a video of a zoo worker feeding a baby giraffe.

“Go[t] to go [to] the Zoo today and see some behind the scenes amazing things  Like [feeding] a baby giraffe , ” the expectant mother wrote.

The video was followed by an adorable photo of Patrick carrying Bronze as they fed leaves to three giraffes and an image of Sterling and a group of kids watching flamingos.

In another clip, Brittany shared a close-up of Bubbles, a female hippo at the zoo, opening her mouth as a staff member examined her.

The Sports Illustrated swimsuit model said one of the highlights was seeing a “beautiful lion,” with whom Patrick and Bronze had a hilarious stare-down.

“Bronze is scared of a lot of things…but was not scares of this lion?  In a complete stare off …  who won?” she wrote over two photos.

The family also got a photo in front of the lion before going home for dinner.

Brittany took a photo of her kitchen filled with an empty plate, pots and pans, a tablet, and a phone, which she said Patrick was using to watch baseball and football games.

“Also, kids getting to watch Bluey so dad has to do this …  I cooked dinner tonight for the first time in a very long thing and I think it was a hit ….  And a disaster of a kitchen … this is our life and I love it ,” wrote Brittany. She ended her series of posts with a cute video of Sterling’s empty dinner plate.

On Wednesday, Oct. 9, Patrick and Brittany were spotted at Missouri’s Kauffman Stadium watching the Kansas City Royals take on the New York Yankees. The Royals won the game 3 – 2.
