Miami Dolphins standout Raheem Mostert has officially made his debut on the NFL Top 100 Players list, earning the No. 60 spot as voted by his peers. Despite this first-time acknowledgment following an exceptional season, Mostert believes his ranking undervalues his contributions on the field.

Achieving career highs, Mostert scored a total of 21 touchdowns last season, consisting of 18 rushing and three receiving touchdowns. He also surpassed the 1,000-yard rushing milestone for the first time, totaling 1,012 yards with an average of 4.8 yards per carry. His dynamic performance was pivotal to the Dolphins’ offensive strategy, complementing their potent passing game.

Expressing his thoughts on the ranking, Mostert shared, “I’m always going to be underrated, no matter what. I’m an underrated, under-the-radar type of guy.

That’s fine with me. … I like that, I feed off of that type of stuff and I don’t listen to what everybody else has to say.”

Mostert’s 2023 season, highlighted by his league-leading 18 rushing touchdowns, presents a strong case for why he should have placed higher on the NFL Top 100. He was the sole offensive player to lead the league in either a yardage or touchdown category and still finish outside the top 40—a testament to the underestimation he feels.

Only two running backs – Christian McCaffrey of the San Francisco 49ers and Derrick Henry of the Tennessee Titans – ranked higher than Mostert. McCaffrey secured the No. 3 spot with 1,459 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns at an impressive 5.3 yards per carry, along with 564 receiving yards on 67 catches. Meanwhile, Henry, positioned at No. 49, edged out Mostert in rushing yards with 1,167 but fell short in touchdowns and yards per carry, which sparks a debate over their rankings.

Despite reflections on past achievements and rankings, Mostert remains focused on the future, expressing a forward-looking mindset and championship aspirations. “I did what I did last year, but now it’s time to move on,” he stated.

“It’s year 2024 and I got bigger and better things that I want to get accomplished, and also, I want to help this team as much as I possibly can because it’s going to be nice to have a championship down here in South Florida.” With this attitude, Mostert continues to eye progress and team success in the upcoming seasons.
