Despite the incident, Hill was on the field for the season opener, putting on a stellar performance. He racked up 130 receiving yards on seven catches, even finding the endzone once in the Dolphins’ victory.

Hill’s endzone celebration with teammate Jaylen Waddle, where he playfully mimicked being arrested, drew mixed reactions from fans and even caught the attention of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

Hill was stopped for speeding, going 60 mph in a 40 mph zone. Following the game, Hill addressed the arrest, calling for disciplinary action against the officers involved while also acknowledging his own need for improved behavior during the traffic stop.

He admitted to reporters, “My life is all about accountability…

Yes, I will say I could’ve been better,” suggesting he could have handled the situation differently. “I could’ve let my window down at that instant, but the thing about me is I don’t want attention.

I don’t wanna be like cameras out, phones on you at that moment.”

Hill expressed regret over the incident, stating, “But at the end of that day, I’m human. I gotta follow rules.

Do what everyone else would do. Now, does that give them the right to literally beat the dog out of me?

Absolutely not.” He added: “I wish I could go back and do things differently,” but maintained that his actions didn’t warrant the treatment he allegedly received.

While emphasizing the importance of following rules, he questioned the officers’ handling of the situation.

Despite the controversy, Hill is expected to take the field for the Dolphins’ week two matchup against the Buffalo Bills.
