The Miami Dolphins traded up in the 2025 NFL draft to address an area of need.
A day after taking All-American Kenneth Grant to anchor their defensive line, the Dolphins made a deal with the Las Vegas Raiders to select Arizona guard Jonah Savaiinaea. The offensive line was a top priority with Pro Bowl tackle Terron Armstead retiring and starting guard Robert Jones leaving in free agency.
But there’s more work for general manager Chris Grier. Miami still has a massive hole in the secondary with cornerback Jalen Ramsey seeking a trade and fellow starting cornerback Kendall Fuller and safety Jevon Holland already gone. The good news: The Dolphins still have seven picks on the draft’s final day.
- Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan (Round 1, pick 13)
- Jonah Savaiinaea, G, Arizona (Round 2, pick 37)
